I was born in Braga, where I studied Medicine at University of Minho. I moved to Philadelphia as a PhD student in Neurosciences at Thomas Jefferson University to study sleep and how neural circuits integrate information relevant for decision-making. In the future, I hope to balance my research with Medicine practice.

I was born in Madeira, and in 2008 I moved to Braga, where I started my medical studies at Universidade do Minho. I have been a MD/PhD student since 2014, at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Besides my interest in Microbiology, I love traveling and the opportunity of exploring new cultures.
