I was born in Aveiro and studied Biochemistry at the Univ. of Coimbra. In 2013, I got a joint Ph.D in Chemistry and Biochemistry from U. Coimbra and U. Orleans. In November 2013, I joined the group of Prof. A. D. Sherry at UT Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center, as a research associate scientist. At last but not least important, I enjoy cooking, brewing beer, reading and listening to music. You can easily find me in operas, symphonies and hard rock concerts in Dallas venues.

Pedro Sampaio

MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where I study how different cells communicate with each other in cancer progression. I am originally from Lisbon but came to Texas via Cambridge (the British one), where I got my PhD in Oncology.
