Early bird registration is still open for the 7th edition of the GRaPE Forum, which will take place on the 28th of December in the facilities of the Portuguese Business Association (AEP) in Leça da Palmeira, Portugal.
The GraPE Forum was initiated 6 years ago on a joint initiative of PAPS and PARSUK (Portuguese Association of Students and Researchers in the UK), subsequently joined by our other European sister associations – AGRAFr (France), ASPPA (Germany) e a APEI-Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg). This annual event gather all members of the Portuguese graduate diaspora to share professional experiences and important issues about the future of Portugal, form the job market to scientific progress. This year we are focusing on the “Portugal Brand”, with the purpose of debating the way in which the diaspora can act as informal representatives of the country abroad.
Distinguished guests will share their experiences as disseminators of the Portuguese language and culture abroad. A panel co-hosted by GPS – Global Portuguese Scientists will scientists who have returned to Portugal to carry on their research after a successful career abroad. This year’s GraPE will also include a discussion between Portuguese graduates who currently hold leadership positions throughout the world, and will have the participation of the Portuguese Ministers for Science and Foreign Affairs. These debates will be complemented with interactive workshops where participants can learn more about subjects like science communication and entrepreneurship.
This is a unique opportunity to debate and interact with Portuguese leaders in the worlds of science and technology, education, culture and business.
